Keep your guide and your work together.

Fieldwork Companion Pane connects a supported activity with its matching BoodleBox conversation in Chrome split view. Review a note in one pane, then continue with your guide in the other.

Get started

1. Use desktop Chrome 140 or later with split view available. Open a supported Fieldwork activity and its matching BoodleBox guide. BoodleBox sign-in and access to that guide are required; the extension does not provide an account or a subscription.
2. Keep the existing chat and activity in the two halves of the same Chrome split view. Two separate browser windows do not form a pair.
3. Open the extension popup and check that the companion is enabled. Refresh pages that were already open when you installed or updated it.

Share a note with your guide

In the activity, prepare and review a note. Choose Put note in BoodleBox to place it in the paired guide's empty message box. Review it there, then press Send. Existing text or an attachment is preserved; send or clear it yourself before placing another note. Copy and paste remains available.

Use the business-plan workspace

The Business Plan guide has a folded Workspace menu above its message box. Open one of the business-plan examples to reach a workspace; the selection page itself is not a workspace. When the matching pages respond, choose Use the connected workspace, review the prepared choice message, and press Send.

The guide can then offer readable draft text for one planning step. Choose Use this draft to apply the displayed fields, then review and edit them on the website. Each transfer checks the current pair. This does not import the entire conversation or synchronize every edit.

Choose Keep planning in chat, or tell the guide naturally, to continue in chat. You can get a useful initial brief without using the website or extension.

Revise a complete business plan

For changes across several sections, open Revise or restore a whole plan on the workspace. Save a copy, ask the guide for a complete revision, then compare it with the current plan. Companion Pane 0.10.4 adds Review revised plan in chat to open this preview. Nothing changes until you choose Load this version on the website. Previous versions stay available in the tab, and dated backup files can be restored later. You can also paste a complete revision or choose a backup file.

Open the next activity

Supported links can open an activity beside its matching guide. Starting another activity may create a new BoodleBox conversation; the old conversation stays in its history. An unrelated website is preserved. The extension never presses Send.

If the connection is unavailable

• Confirm that both pages belong to the same Chrome split view and that the guide matches the activity.
• Refresh both pages after installing or updating the extension. In Business Plan First Steps, choose Check again.
• If another message or attachment is waiting, finish or clear it yourself.
• Continue in chat or use copy and paste if the controls are unavailable. A previously shared connection report does not guarantee the connection is still active.

What the extension accesses

It uses current tab information to identify the pair, reads supported links and draft content, and handles notes you choose to move. It keeps an on/off preference and temporary navigation state locally. There is no extension analytics service or developer collection of your drafts. Supported activities and support

Supports the published Fieldwork activities and Colorado Plants & Practical Care. Business-plan draft actions are specific to Business Plan First Steps. This is an independent Fieldwork extension, not a Google or BoodleBox product.

Use the support contact in the store listing or the public issue tracker. Include the extension version and what happened; do not include private plans or credentials in a public issue.
